The 5 main reasons are: 

1. Eradicate domestic cats - Dr Morgan.
2. SPCA thinks it is a silly idea.
3. Stop buying new cats and not replace pets when they die.  
4. Cats are a member of the family.
5.  Cats are incredibly effective hunters  and are wiping out our native birds.
